The work offers a musical tribute to the generations of people who created, shaped and cared for Hagley Park and the Christchurch Botanic Gardens.

A dramatic concert work combining lyrical piano writing, broad orchestral colour and a strong visual character. A chamber orchestra version was performed in London by Camerata Tchaikovsky under the direction of Yuri Zhislin, with pianist Eleni Mavromoustaki.
